Okay, let’s talk about maternity styling! When it comes to maternity photos, one of the most exciting parts is figuring out how to style! It’s all about celebrating you and the amazing transformation your body is going through. It’s so much more than just picking out a dress; it’s about reflecting your personality and making you feel absolutely radiant.

Embracing The Bump During Your Photoshoot

Of course, you can’t go wrong with a classic! Form-fitting dresses are a tried-and-true choice for a reason. They beautifully showcase your baby bump, whether they’re flowing and ethereal or more structured and contouring. They really let the bump take center stage! But, there are so many other fun options to consider! We don’t have to stick to tradition if it doesn’t feel right for the mom-to-be. Rompers and one-pie can be super chic and comfy, and guess what? They also highlight your curves in a really stylish way! We can even get creative with bare belly shots, which can be absolutely stunning and empowering. It’s about your style

Pick A Color, or Two!, For Your Maternity Session

I’m not here to tell you what color to wear! But I will say, I LOVE a bold gemstone color. Scarlet, emerald, cobalt, and rich violet would all paint a beautiful picture. Dark neutral colors also pop in desert backdrops. Deep chocolate, burgundy, and even black! I honestly love the way black photographs! On the other hand- Creams and whites look positively dreamy in studio! In the natural light studios available, you could pick any neutral color pallette and it will look amazing. Pick a color, or two! Ultimately, my goal is to help you feel confident, comfortable, and completely yourself. If you’re still undecided, we’ll chat about your usual style, comfort level, and any ideas you already have. I can also offer suggestions and help you find the perfect complimentary outfit for dads and kids. And guess what? Every session includes up to 60 minutes of session time. So you also have the option of trying a couple of different looks!

Layers + Textures For Style

When I say texture IS vibes here are some examples:

Sheer fabric- flowy material is so dreamy
Denim- I love this one
Lace- romantic and elegant
Velvet- luxe
Leather- edgy

Layers goes hand in hand with texture. Mix them up! Some examples: A denim jacket
over a lace bra is casual and stunning all rolled into one. A fur shawl over a velvet
dress. A wide brim leather hat matched with a flowing maxi dress.
