Whether it’s mountain, desert, or in-between both, each spot has its own charm for your family portraits. Today, I’m excited to share my top four favorite places to shoot photos in Las Vegas.

1. Red Rock Canyon: A Picture-Perfect Paradise

First up is Red Rock Canyon, hands down my most popular spot for family photoshoots. Just a quick drive from the busy Strip, this place feels like a whole different world with its stunning red rock formations and dramatic views. The colors of the rocks are breathtaking and you’ll find Joshua trees decorating the landscape. Whether you want to catch the soft light of sunrise or the warm glow of sunset, Red Rock Canyon is unbeatable. Next on my list is The Wetlands Park, a hidden treasure in Las Vegas. This park is a dream for nature lovers and photographers alike! Each season brings its own charm—tall green grass in spring and summer, warm autumn hues, and the peaceful sunsets of winter. This place allows me to capture families in a setting that reflects the beauty of each season, making every photoshoot feel special and unique.

3. Mt. Charleston: A Cool Escape

Another fantastic spot is Mt. Charleston, which is perfect for families looking to escape the summer heat. Just a short drive from the city, this mountain paradise offers a refreshing change of scenery and a much cooler climate during the hotter months. The stunning views and towering pine trees among the Charleston mountain golden bush create a breathtaking backdrop for family photos. Each season brings its own magic here too- the rich greens of summer are a favorite of mine! Mt. Charleston is a gem that highlights the diversity of Nevada’s landscapes, making it a wonderful choice for any family photoshoot.

4. The Dry Lake Bed: Simple Yet Stunning

If you’re into a more minimalistic vibe, then The Dry Lake Bed is a must-see! Which was once an ancient lake bed, this wide-open space features a cracked desert ground that borders a mountain range. The land creates a striking contrast against the blue sky. The simplicity of this location lets the love and joy between family members really shine. Located right in our beautiful neighborhood, this lovely park is all about seasonal beauty and changes throughout the year. From blooming flowers in the spring to colorful leaves in the fall. With its beautifully maintained landscaping, The Gardens Park is perfect for families looking for a serene spot that still feels connected to nature.
